My first introduction to SILK PAINTING was through a course at Rhode Island School of Design. I was encouraged to combine original abstract art designs with practical decorative items such as silk pillows and dream catchers to add a unique touch to any home or office.

Now my silk paintings are based on hypnopompic imagery, loosely on mandala symbolism and the various stages of a life-cycle. My midnight mandalas are circular images, created by a combination of hypnopompic imagery, the urge to know oneself and  find one's place in a circle of life as well as in the universe.

Each silk is original, and although some make look similar in color, each one is unique and hand painted.  I do not re-use exact patterns. If you'd like, I can also create personalized 10" round hand-painted silk hoop based on your favorite colors & patterns.

All silks are hand-painted (not silk screened) and are original patterns.  Because of the unique nature of hand painting silk, an exact reproduction is not possible.  Please email me with any questions.
